Splatoon: Raiders spin-off announced through Nintendo Today app
Nintendo’s daily news looks to be delivering new game announcements as well
The Nintendo Today app delivers news each day and today for Splatoon fans there was an update. This included the first look of what Nintendo call “A Splatoon Spinoff” called Splatoon: Raiders. Not much is known about the game but the trailer shows 3 Splatoon characters called Frye, Shiver and one unnamed character in a helicopter heading to “Sphiralite Islands” while chasing a rumour, where the helicopter they are in is engulfed by a tornado.
The trailer then shows small snippets of gameplay with fishing, what looks to be a hub world and then exploration with a robot partner.
Could this be Nintendo’s attempt at a Splatoon survival-crafting game? Only time will tell when more information comes out about Splatoon: Raiders, coming to Nintendo Switch 2. View the video through the official Splatoon X account below!
